All goats sold from Cedar Swamp Farms will be tattooed, disbudded (unless polled), and registered with ADGA (reg. papers filled out w/transfer) before leaving the property. All kids are sold with their first CD/T shot (unless second booster can be given before shipping). The registration transfer will be completed upon final payment of the animal. Upon the animals departure from our farm, Cedar Swamp Farms is not liable for the animals health, fertility, and show success, and are sold as is. Cedar Swamp Farms reserves the right to collect on any of the bucks that are sold (no matter what age) at the per straw cost of collection. All kids, does, and bucks for sale will be vet checked by our accredited veterinarian before posted with a general overall evaluation (no blood or fecal tests done), this does not include health papers or a bill of health. Any desired tests, papers, special evaluations will have to be done at the buyers expense, but we can make arrangements.
Goats must be picked up at the farm by 4 weeks of age, unless other arrangements in writing have been made. There will be a $50/ week boarding/maintenance charge for animals who stay over the 4 weeks. If you need to make arrangements please contact us, we are glad to help you out and work with you.
We do offer shipping arrangements for those who may need them. Whether it be by ground or by air, purchasers are responsible for all the fees and rates associated with the transaction (delivery, health, etc).
For ground shipping, Cedar Swamp Farms reserves the right to refuse a shipper for any reason. We will supply transporters with the necessary amount of food and hay for the length of the trip. Cedar Swamp Farms strives to make transport as stress-free as possible, but once the animal has left the property then we are no longer responsible for the animals health and well-being. Please choose transporters wisely. If the transporter has any requirements for the animal (health papers, crate, etc.) they will be paid for at the buyers expense.
Shipments via air are done out of Bradley International Airport in Hartford, Connecticut. Any and all expenses that are associated with the shipping arrangement are of the responsibility of the buyer this includes but is not limited to: shipping, health papers and vet fees, flight, crate. Kids will be shipped in appropriate sized dog crates with hay and a dish of water. Before flights all animals will receive a precautionary treatment including: probiotics , coccidia-stat, energy drench, and electrolytes. This treatment aids (not eliminates) in the stress that is caused due to traveling. We strongly advise to try and arrive at the pickup location prior or immediately following the arrival. Using flight trackers are always helpful and highly recommended. We will ship at anytime as long as it meets the mutual times of both the buying and selling parties. We ONLY ship in the United States. Any other international shipments can be made but will have to be discussed, please feel free to contact me with any questions regarding shipment and transport.
